Healthcare Mobile App Developer
Our Company, venture backed and currently in stealth mode, is a St. Louis-based digital health leader with a first-to-market non-invasive medical device and companion software targeting metabolic disorders. Launching in late 2019, we are a health and measurement innovator that provides the technology, feedback and adherence at the intersection of human behavior and chronic care management in areas like diabetes and obesity, with a platform that extends well into additional chronic diseases. Serving an enormous market with no direct competition with positive market trends as a tailwind, our FDA registered (Class 1) device fills a well-publicized biomarker gap for our clinical B2B partners in pharma and chronic care management, as well as an eager direct-to-consumer wellness market segment.
The Mobile App Developer, reporting to the Head of Application Development, works with the team to launch the first medical device in a broad platform play. The position is a key member of the technology group and compensated accordingly with an attractive compensation including stock plan.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Practical experience building iOS and Android applications
Excellent knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, and iOS development.
First-rate architectural design, coding and debugging skills.
Strong know-how in object-oriented software design and design patterns
Real life reference or open source projects (Github / Bitbucket / Stackoverflow Account)
Experience with RESTful , JSON / XML / SOAP Web Services
3+ years of mobile application development experience cross platform development
Prior experience on designing and architecting mobile application solution
Strong understanding of server-side software, scalability, performance, and reliability aspect
Experience with JAVA/J2EE, Android (SDK)
Experience working with QA and testing tools for mobile applications
Knowledge of enterprise mobile development, a plus. Specifically developing secure mobile applications, integration with enterprise applications and infrastructure.
Knowledge of security and identity management solutions such as SAML, OAuth, certificates and encryption
Experience designing highly interactive mobile user experiences by developing wireframes, prototyping functionality, preferably in healthcare
Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Loves to solve problems in complex environments with positive attitude
Is motivated by start-up culture, wearing many hats while rowing with the rest of the team in an aligned strategy
Highly disciplined as self-starter in unstructured environment, supporting teams outside of standard scope
